Dear Nursing Colleague:

We are conducting a study to update global Nurse Practitioner/Advanced Practice Nurse (NP/APN) information. This survey was developed by the Health Policy Subgroup of the ICN Nurse Practitioner/Advanced Practice Nursing Network so as to understand practice, education, regulation and certification of NPs/APNs around the world. Your participation can help provide much needed information to best understand global NP/APN issues.

We are asking you to complete a 50-question research survey entitled Advanced Practice Nursing Roles, Regulation, Education and Practice. The survey can be completed in 30 minutes or less. There are no incentives being offered to complete this survey. Participation is voluntary and you may leave the survey at any time. There will be no penalties if you choose not to participate in the study. Please be aware that all responses to the survey are confidential and completely anonymous, and will be reported only as group data. No identifying information such as name, address, phone number, email address, or other user account information will be requested. There is no foreseeable risk or harm in participating in this study.

Before you take the survey, please be sure you meet criteria for participation, specifically that you:

1) are an NP/APN, NP/APN Educator, NP/APN Administrator or NP/APN Researcher

2) are fluent in reading/writing English

3) have access to a computer with Internet connection

If you decide to participate in this study you may access the anonymous survey by clicking the “I accept” tab, thereby indicating you have read this information and freely consent to participate in this research study.
